September 5, 2022: Covidien Japan, one of Medtronic's three legal entities in Japan, announced the launch of the Clearum HSF hemodiafilter.
Covidien Japan launches Clearum HSF hemodiafilter for HDF therapy
The hollow fiber membrane is made of PES (polyethersulfone) and the housing is made of polypropylene and does not contain BPA (bisphenol A), which is considered a chemical substance associated with diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
The product received manufacturing and marketing approval on March 28, 2022, and has been covered by insurance since May 1 of the same year.
